Who we are
Pardo’s Berrie Farm is a family operated pick-your-own and retail berry farm located along the shores of Lake Erie in the hamlet of Pardoville. We are third and fourth generation stewards of the land, specializing in small fruit production.
The name “Pardo’s Berrie Farm” became official in 1980, but the farm has had a long history before then. Russ’ parents, Eleanor and Robert Pardo, worked to develop the farm into what it is today. Before berries were our specialty, they grew many peppers, cauliflower, cucumbers, tobacco, and even raised cattle and pigs on the farm. In 1978, Robert planted the farm’s first field of blueberries and that began it all. That very field is our pick your own blueberry field today. Russell and Belinda Pardo both graduated from Ridgetown College and worked alongside, Robert and Eleanor on the farm.
In 1988, the berry farm was passed down to Belinda and Russell. It has been very rewarding for Russell and Belinda to carry on Eleanor and Robert’s vision for our community to enjoy. They did, however, have some help along the way from their daughters: Taylor, Regan and Keely. Though there were many days, when the girls were young, that were spent making box forts in the barn. They helped where they could. Of course, with age comes responsibility and each of them spent the summers during their school years, grading berries and running pick your own fields. Keely graduated from University of Guelph, Ridgetown Campus in 2024 and is working alongside Belinda and Russell. Taylor and Regan are exploring other careers now, but we still get them to come back every once in a while, to spend the day helping us on the farm. We are all happy to see so many families, friends, and community members come out for a visit to our family farm in the summer. We have been blessed with such a supportive customer base.
